About the event
Join us at the official launch in Wellington of our White Paper - Unlocking the Enormous Potential of Neurodiverse Young People.
Our launch party is a not-to-be missed opportunity to stand together, as neurodiverse young people, whānau, teachers, school leaders and community leaders to challenge our politicians to put neurodiversity on the education agenda this Election 2023.
This is an inclusive event for our whole community, and a chance to meet and celebrate our Young Neurodiversity Champions - 15 awesome young people standing up for the rights of all neurodiverse young people in Aotearoa.
Justine Munro, CEO of NZ Centre for Gifted Education, Dane Dougan, CEO of Autism NZ, Suzanne Cookson, CEO of ADHD NZ, and Guy Pope-Mayell, Chair of the Dyslexia Foundation of NZ will share why we have come together as the Neurodiversity in Education Coalition, and why the three key policies shared in the White Paper are the critical first steps to education system change.
Arrive at 5pm for a presentation starting at 5:15pm followed by pizza and mingling. There will be a cash bar for over-18's. The formal part of the evening finishes at 7pm but the bar is open until 11pm for us.
