On 18 January 2023, we hosted our first-ever MindPlus Clubs Day at the University of Auckland, and it was nothing short of extraordinary! The event brought together 140 neurodiverse and gifted students from Auckland, the Waikato, and the Bay of Plenty for a day filled with learning, discovery, and connection with like-minds.
A Day of Exploration and Inspiration
In their ten themed clubs, students unleashed their creativity and curiosity as they:
Explored the cutting-edge Space Institute
Engaged with innovation at the Unleash Innovation Space
Discovered wonders in the McGregor Biology Museum
Immersed themselves in the VR Design Lab
Met and learned from global best-seller Graci Kim, who inspired budding writers and storytellers
Our Scientists, Coders, Readers, Dreamers, and more experienced a day tailored to their passions and interests, forging connections and building memories that will last a lifetime.
Captured Moments of Magic
Our talented photographer, Mike Kim (@oneofmanykims), beautifully documented the day’s activities, capturing the excitement, focus, and joy of our incredible students.
